A pilot programme will be run between the August and October to test the functionality of SQUAD Hub and to ensure that the Level 2 content can be completed successfully. Stewards from ten clubs, drawn from the Premier League, Championship, League 1 and League 2 will be given access to the training material and will support the ongoing development of SQUAD hub as a resource for the stewarding profession.
The objectives of the pilot programme are to:
1. Ensure that SQUAD Hub (this website) works effectively including:
- Registration processes
- Access to Level 2 Spectator Safety support materials
- Monitoring of progression through learning materials
- Certification processes upon completion
- Feedback and reporting mechanisms
2. Work with stewards to generate ideas for additional resources for safety management professionals in football.
3. Agree a roadmap for the roll out of SQUAD Hub to other clubs in the Premier League, EFL, National League and Women’s Super League.
