Welcome to SQUAD Hub
Welcome to SQUAD - a hub to support the career development of Safety Management Professionals within football, developed jointly by The Premier League, and the EFL. This platform will provide resources to support anyone working withing football seeking to secure qualifications in Spectator Safety or to further their skills and qualifications.
The Premier League and EFL have invested in new, football-specific, training material that is mapped to National Occupational Standards for Level 2 Spectator Safety. Similar material for Level 3 is also in development.
Over the next few months, support information will be added to the site to provide helpful guidance for new stewards or those thinking about stewarding as well as signposting to opportunities for further career development.
The hub is currently being piloted with twelve clubs across the Premier League and EFL and additional resources and support materials will be added on a regular basis – please make sure to check-in from time to time to access the latest content.

Safety Management professionals play a critical role in ensuring that spectators at live events are kept safe, secure and have a positive experience.
SQUAD Hub is a platform for anyone working within football to help them develop their professional knowledge, skills and competence in safety management and to help them demonstrate compliance. It is funded by the Premier League and EFL and will roll out to all clubs throughout 2025.
The platform is currently in a pilot phase with a small selection of clubs from the Premier League and EFL.
